Big Brother: All-Stars - Air Date July 30

Huh? Oh yeah, Big Brother. Fourth Head of Household in a row for Season Six. Suck me back in, Big Brother! Suck me back in!
Kaysar found Jase's eviction heartwrenching, he thought it was the worst eviction yet. Pfff. I'm still pissed he put up Nakomis, so I don't want to hear it.
Danielle thinks Jase should have stayed in the house and that he deserves to be there. Well, yeah. He's in your alliance. She called it an "ugly eviction" and I think back to how she screwed Marcellas over in Season Three.
The best part of watching the post-eviction stuff is seeing Will rub it in and lay on the guilt trip. "Jase left early, man. He didn't deserve that."
James tries his best to assuage his guilt by saying he refuses to call it a "backdoor", and I agree with him that it wasn't because it was never the plan, but it's still fun to watch him try to get to a place where he can live with himself. Hee hee!
I love Pinky and the Brain's little telephone schtick that they do in the Diary Room, and we got another one as Will calls up Boogie, tells him how he told everyone how he hates them, and yet he didn't get a single vote!
It's good to see Marcellas happy again, and he's ecstatic over Jase's ouster. He really didn't care for that recent behaviour. It wasn't exactly the Boys Gone Wild he prefers.
In a talk about Jase, Marcellas said that he asked Jase if his mother would approve of his behaviour, prompting James to ask if at any time any of their mothers would approve of any of them.
Danielle stood up for him, saying he had his good moments so she's not going to villify him. In the Diary Room she said that Jase was a man of his word and she's not going to let people drag him through the mud, which resulted in a quick shot of Marcellas. Oh come on, like he was the only one. Jase's behaviour went a long way towards that 9-0 result so you know other people were talking, and there is a lot of negative conversation about everyone. It's also a lot easier to lay off of Jase when you're not the one he went after.
There is more of James rationalizing the way he ripped Jase's heart out when he says that he felt comfortable doing what he did after Jase told him he is going to go after Janelle and Danielle. I must have missed that, but what's with people telling James they're going after Janelle? Alison made the same mistake too.
Howie did his best to help James through this troubling emotions, and in the DR rambled on about Jase and how he played both sides leading to him saying, "You can't have your corn and eat it too!"
Other sayings Howie has screwed up over the years?
"A stitch in time saves mimes."
"Red sky at night, shepherds pie."
"Look before you sleep."
"A fool and his money are soon potato."
At times in All-Stars I find myself liking Janelle again, and at times she says, "I'm the first person to have HoH twice this season. What can I say? I dominate in this game!" Okay, it wasn't the words so much but the little "I'm Janelle and you're not" laugh she gave after saying it. Please, Big Brother, throw Maggie, Jennifer and April back in so I can start cheering for Janelle again!
Marcellas said he and Janelle have a secret deal above what she's got with the rest of BB6 so he was hoping she would throw the competition, but he still thinks it's fantastic that she won. Unfortunately, even if she sticks with him above Kaysar and Howie she's still a horrible person to plan on going to the end with. Not that she's a horrible person, that little laugh didn't bother me that much, but who's going to beat Janelle in the end? Nobody! I really hope he has a back-up plan.
Diane in the DR asked how SeaSick dares to put down the "Nerd Herd" from their season when they're an exact replica! That's not going to go down well! But really she's just frustrated along with much of the viewing audience at this stranglehold on the HoH room. Hey, blame Erika. She's the one who knocked George out of the HoH competition instead of someone dangerous.
In the exercise room a confused Pinky asked the Brain why he left Janelle in the game, narf? Will said in retrospect he should have taken her out instead of Howie. Uh, you think? You're as much to blame for this as Erika! He does feel though that he can at least talk to Janelle and Kaysar about strategy and possibly keep his ass safe for another week. Howie, he said, is just not bright enough to make any decision. OR TO WIN THAT HOH! Damn, you could have taken him out later!
Janelle has been spending a lot of time with Will when she can push Howie out of the way, flirting with him and making him feel all sexy. He talks like Janelle is totally in love with him and I'm left wondering how much of it he believes. Janelle on the other hand is doing it as strategy to work him over. Alright, that's the Janelle I loved last season!
When it's time to see Janelle's HoH room we discover the most important reason she can never be allowed to have that positition again. I like pink, but this was the most gawdawful, eye-injuring bright pink I've ever seen and it's everywhere! Marcellas agrees with me and called it an "abomination" and that it's like a "Pepto-Bismol nightmare." If Barbie was a giant who vomited furniture, this is what it would look like.
The first look at the HoH room is always followed by strategy talk, and this is no different. This is also the third solo HoH run by Season Six, and so far their nominations have been less than stellar. Would that be any different?
Janelle said that there are two people in Chill Town, there are four in their alliance, and there are five floaters. Oh god, it's going to be another lame nomination.
Here's something I'm not getting, and I may have mentioned it before but I'm not getting much sleep lately so even if I have, please bear with me and forgive me when I bring it up again next month. Big Brother 6 saw the most sharply divided house in the history of the series, and while there was a little bit of floating at the start it quickly vanished and after the big split the only person who floated even a bit was James. This is why I'm wondering what got up SeaSick's collective butts about "floaters" and why the hell they're trying to force people to pick sides. Are they really trying to recreate the BB6 experience? James really has no call to be so outraged over floaters when he tried that game last season, and I wonder if Kaysar is trying to make up for his inability to be the one to take James out back then. I wasn't blogging the show last year but I was on the message boards, and when Kaysar got into that tunnelvision of his and called James the most dangerous player because of his floating I couldn't stand it. The most dangerous players are those that are dead set on getting you out that door, like the Friendship was concerning the Sovereign 6. Floaters you can use, people like that you can't!
Janelle asked James what his relationship is like with Diane. He said she's nice and that she won't put him up. He then asked the rest of his alliance why they are scared of Chill Town. The man who was gunning for Chicken George asked this. He wants Boogie to leave this week as he sees him as the biggest threat. The man who was gunning for Chicken George said this.
Janelle replied, "Here's the thing..." then asked Kaysar to explain it to James. Kaysar then started talking about floaters, and Janelle started talking about floaters, then Dick Cheney popped in and said you've got to shoot floaters in the face or they'll gitcha!
Kaysar said if they take out Diane, nobody has any association to her. Janelle said there will be no retaliation. Is there anyone other than Pinky and the Brain in this house who isn't playing a timid game? This is All-Stars, for crying out loud! Start mixing it up and stop being terrified of being evicted!
Please, CBS, I'm begging you! Next year let's go back to a houseful of complete strangers with no twists connecting any of them!
Anyway, this went on for way too long, so I'm going to speed through to whatever comes next.
Coming back from commercial, James tells us that he along with Diane and Danielle have a "budding relationship" where they will take care of each other. Ah, an alliance. That's why you're suddenly putting the pressure on Janelle to nominate Pinky and the Brain. That gave him reason to go to Diane and talk her into trying to save herself.
She went up to the Pink Hell to talk to Janelle, and yet another ass-kissing session begins with someone saying they're not a kiss-ass. Didn't we just see Jase do the same thing last week?
So Diane puckered up and smooched her little heart out. The only thing that really stood out in this conversation was when Janelle said that Chill Town came to her and said they wouldn't put her up, and if you can't trust Chill Town then you can't trust anybody!
Crikey, that room is freakin' pink.
Dr. Will later came into the room and asked if he could have a bath. He asked someone to bring some of the rubber ducks up as he wanted to do a puppet show with them. He had Mick Foogey, Finelle, Dr. McDreamy, and Howie. It was long, semi-amusing, but all centered on one thing - talking points. The talking point here? Floaters of course!
Now here's something for the producers of Big Brother to consider. You know when people swear on a show a button is pressed and either the sound cuts off or there is a beep. Can we please do the same thing for the word "floaters" except for each episode replace it with another word? The following list contains some good choices...
Pancakes.
Shoes.
Pants.
Gaugin.
Chum.
Trust me, it would make the show so much more entertaining.
Light-hearted time? Yes. George on Big Brother Slop with gas. The best part is when he tried to toast it.
Following this was a food competition, and yet again House Guests would have to knock each other out. A bunch of basketballs would be launched at intervals over a wall, and one of them would have a star painted on it. The person who gets the ball with the star gets to eat, but then has to put someone else on slop and they are then both out of the game. Kudos to BB, the ideas behind this week's competitions are great, we can't blame the House Guests for running scared. George is allowed to play, he just can't eat non-Slop. Will made a quick deal with Howie that neither of them would make the other eat Slop, and Howie agreed which was more of a test than an actual deal as far as Will was concerned.
Boogie got the first starred ball and put Marcellas on Slop. Normally I'd say that's a weak move instead of putting one of Season Six there, but they're trying to fake an alliance right now so it makes sense. Plus he got some payback for Marcellas knocking him out of the last HoH competition. Marcellas better not go another week without eating.
Howie got the next starred ball and put Dr. Will on Slop. That showed the kind physician that he can not trust Howie who just broke a promise minutes after making it.
Kaysar was next, and he made the safest choice possible by putting Chicken George on Slop. Janelle noticed this too. The minute that alliance starts breaking apart this season will once more start getting interesting.
James put Diane on Slop.
Danielle put Erika on Slop, which probably doesn't matter because Erika looks like she may not have had anything to eat since she was last in the house.
A non-George light-hearted moment where we learn that Janelle and Diane can't cook.
A non-house light-hearted moment where we learn that I don't care.
Some more talk with Chill Town trying to talk Janelle into putting up two pancakes for nomination. Oh god this is dull. Please someone do something in the game! Other than Will who offered to put himself up as a pawn again.
Up in the HoH room Janelle talked to Howie about trusting Pinky and the Brain and even more talk about pancakes. James comes in and says the two most dangerous pancakes are Danielle and Marcellas, but you know she won't nominate Marcellas who has an alliance with her.
Blah blah blah Chill Town blah blah blah pancakes blah blah blah Dr. Will comes in and announces that he and Boogie are going to playing chess if they need them, which was a nice little move.
Alone with her in the HoH room, Will worked Janelle hard and asked her to put him on the block with Erika or George, and Janelle insisted she doesn't want to put him up. She also doesn't want to anger James and Kaysar, to which he responded that they are cowards (look at their nominations). He then voiced the fact that all of SeaSick have "parachutes" in case the alliance crumbles. James got Danielle, Kaysar got Erika, Janelle has Marcellas, and Howie jumped out of the plane without a parachute. Hey! What's George, chopped liver? That Jedi Alliance is the only other one in the house with a name. He did a great job in there, and told Janelle that if she really wants to test her alliance, put up Erika and Danielle. He really pushed Erika and promised Chill Town's loyalty.
In the end she nominated Boogie and Erika for eviction, shocking the hell out of George.
Janelle said that she nominated Boogie because he said he was coming after her, and she nominated Erika because she's very well liked and people wouldn't vote against her. Then she took her shovel, cleaned off all the bovine feces, and put it back in the shed.
It was interesting that she put Boogie up over Will, and as much as I hate this whole going after the pancakes crap, I was pleased to see Erika up. Of all the people in the last HoH competition who made annoying choices, it was her knocking Chicken George out over anyone strong that was the worst so I hope she enjoys her time on the nominee chair an appreciates where playing it safe got her.
Janelle's real goal, as she told us in the DR, was to "shake up the house" and get rid of a pancakes. Kaysar and James both wanted to shake up the house too. Here's the thing - if you're going to shake up the house, make a bold, unexpected move! Don't keep playing this safe nomination game! Argh!
Erika sees this as a door being opened that she can now go after Janelle, and she can say "Hey, you struck first and now I'm just striking back." Erika, there's a word for people in the Big Brother house who wait for someone else to strike first. "Evicted."
Some stuff from Boogie who plans on working the house and going for the Veto, from Will who said that Janelle met him half-way and kept him off the block because she loves him. Erika's up though, and that's all that matters. I hate the pancakes strategy but I really hope that this really will shake the house up and people will start playing hard, whether they're in an alliance or merely pancakes.
