Big Brother: All-Stars - Air Date July 13

Whoo hoo! It's the first live eviction of the season!
What a minute. What am I cheering for? I don't want either of these women leaving. Now I just made myself sad.
We start the episode as with all live evictions with the reassuring presence of Julie Chen giving us a little exposition on what's been happening to date. If CBS were more thoughtful of my feelings they would do away with three one hour episodes through the week and give us one three hour episode on the weekend. It would be so much easier for me to recap in a timely manner, and frankly everything should be all about me anyway.
What's not about me is that Julie said her first "But first..." of the season. Good. That'll make my pals at TVgasm happy. Check out their video of the Chenbots many "But firsts...", and check out their recaps. They're often longer and sometimes as funny as mine.
We discover that Alison wasn't surprised the Veto wasn't used to save her. Other things that don't surprise her - The Earth rotates around the sun, causing the sun to rise every morning. Milk left out for a week goes very bad. The Wild Hanlons were eliminated on Treasure Hunters. Ice is cold. She's a sharp cookie, that one is. Nothing gets by her.
Danielle on the other hand has clearly given up wanting to win the game, as she advises us she plans on playing as cleanly as possible. I could be wrong, and maybe by "as cleanly as possible" she means "a dagger between the ribs instead of a machete to the head."
Something that seems strange is how few people seem to be talking to each other. Danielle went to George to ask him how he was voting, and he said that nobody had approached him yet. Thanks to this, Danielle was able to make a deal with him. I know many of the House Guests don't feel George belongs there, but not making an alliance with him? That's just ridiculous.
Outside Alison is talking to Nakomis about whose votes she has, and Nakomis doesn't know what's going on in the house. Being left out of the loop is not a good thing.
She does want to work with Alison and Diane, but a three-person alliance when one of them is on the block?
Back to Danielle in the HoH room with Janelle, she promises not to come after any of the BB6ers. Danielle, who came up with the poorly executed plan to evict Janelle in the first place. But Janelle believes her anyway. Danielle asked who she has, and Janelle told her she has the SeaSick Alliance and Erika. But does she have Marcellas? Janelle doesn't know. Why Danielle and Marcellas haven't been trying to work together, I have no idea. If not that, at least try to bury the past. They're stuck in this house together for up to three months if Danielle stays, there is more than enough time to start a dialogue.
Elsewhere, Jase is talking to Pinky and the Brain, Will and Boogie, and it seems that none of them care for Alison but love the idea of having her go after Janelle. Except maybe Boogie, who only responded with a hearty "NARF!"
After Jase left, Boogie asked Will what they're going to do tonight. Will replied, "The same thing we do every night, Boogie. Try to take over the house!"
Ignoring this grand conspiracy, Jase is now in the bathroom whispering to Alison that she has him, Diane, Nakomis, Dr. Will and Boogie. Not that having him makes a difference, because he can't vote as HoH, but at least he can work for her. Why they're not talking to Marcellas, I don't know, and Danielle was the only one smart enough to go to George for a vote so far.
Hanging to Diane, Alison talks about the votes she has, but it's not enough. Diane mentions that Marcellas will vote in her favour, and Alison asks if she's sure. This is driving me crazy. Talk to the guy! If you're in the house and you're on the block, you talk to everybody! Even if you don't get them on your side, at least try! Danielle talked to George and now she's got him on her side.
Now this is where Alison makes the most mind-numbingingly stupid mistake of the season to date. Even worse than when Will asked Howie for an innocent backrub! She goes in and talks to James, the first of the two nominees to approach him. So far, so good. He asks her how she thinks the outcome's going to be right now, and she said there are three she will never have because that's who she's going after - Howie, Kaysar, and Erika.
Wha'?
She wants James to vote to keep her in, so she tells the Season Sixer that she's going after two of the other Season Sixers, people he is obviously in an alliance with despite all their weak protests otherwise.
Wow.
Blah blah blah, more strategy talk elsewhere, we come to Danielle in the Diary Room talking about what happened after her season and how much of a negative reaction she received. She was crying, talking about how she wasn't there to make friends but to try and win and get the money for her family. That's fine, we're cool here at Realivision with backstabbing in the Big Brother house. It is a game with a lovely cash prize, after all.. That doesn't explain a lot of what she did in the Diary Room though, and that was where she lost me and many others. Roddy is NOT the devil!
Back in the HoH room with Janelle, Marcellas, and Erika, there is yet more blah blah blah about who should go. Marcellas has issues with Danielle, Erika has issues with Alison. Boogie has issues with good taste, but he's not there. Both want to see their arch-enemies leave. In the Diary Room, Marcellas lets us know his preference would be to see them both go. "How do you choose between gonorrhea or the clap?" I want to say be nice Marcellas, but damn, that was a good line!
Finally we get back to the live show, and the delightful Julie Chen. First thing she does is bring up Howie's sweet crush on Dr. Will. He tries to talk about it being a battle for supremacy between the two of them, but that doesn't explain the pillow he puts on his lap when he glances longingly over at the sensual MD. That would explain why we're only getting a head shot of Howie now.
Some more chitchat, a little video of George snoring to humiliate him because how funny, a middle-aged man who snores... I love Big Brother, but you never realize how little actually happens until you try to recap an episode. It's almost all talk! Maybe I should just start posting transcripts.
Going to commercial, we find out what three of the contestants have to say about the nominees.
Marcellas - He gives a very graphic description of how Danielle will cut out your heart, eat it, crap it out, and give it back to you. I love you, Marc, but damn, you need to work this stuff out with her. These are issues! He'd like to see Alison go because of her capacity to lie to your face.
Erika - She'd like to keep Danielle around because she doesn't think she's her target right now. Despite her issues with Alison, she does see her being a good competitor and good cover if she was on her side.
Diane - She feels that Danielle is working with everyone in the house but her. It seems like Danielle hasn't even attempted to talk to her about anything. I don't know why someone on the block wouldn't even bother talking to people. The worst that could happen is they'll say no. And why aren't people approaching the nominees to work out deals? She likes the idea of keeping Alison around because she's likely go up on the block again next week, and so she votes to evict Danielle.
After the commercial there is a little story on Jase and how he's changed, then Julie talks to him alone in the HoH bedroom where he promises a return of the mandana.
None of the matters, so let's go to another commercial...
James - Alison has to go. We don't see him vote for her, but you know he did. He doesn't think Danielle, who again I remind you came up with the plan to get Janelle on the block, is going after the BB6ers.
Boogie - I try to tune out the headband and listen to him. Something about Alison being a loose cannon. He also may be worried about Danielle getting too close to the BB6ers. I'm not sure. Please take his headband away.
George - Wants to keep Danielle in the house because they have made a deal. He didn't ask Marcellas about Danielle's deals, obviously. I think they'd still be sitting there as Marcellas enlightens him in gory detail. He also sees Alison as a threat as she's a good player. The Chicken Man votes to evict Alison.
Janelle alone in the HoH room, she calls the SeaSickers the most dominate alliance in the house, but she trusts James just a little bit less than the other two.
Some stuff we don't care about next concerning Alison, her new boyfriend, ex-boyfriend Justin from BB4, yadayadayada, just keep her in the house.
Howie - If Danielle is spared, maybe she'll leave the BB6ers alone. The only reason he sees to keep Alison around is because she looks awesome in a bikini. Yeah, right. Like he notices her over Dr. Will.
Will - He thinks Danielle is a phenomenal player who was robbed in her season, and she's angry about that. As for keeping Alison around, "blonde girls hate blonde girls" and she will go after Janelle.
Nakomis - Another person who thinks a good reason to keep Alison is all the attention she'll draw to herself. Not a bad strategy if it works.
Kaysar - Danielle is a master manipulator and a very dangerous player, but he sees this eviction as choosing between the lesser of two evils.
Kaysar votes to evict Alison, Nakomis votes to evict Danielle.
Before we get to the results, Julie talks a little to the nominees. Both are honoured just to be there, smoke gets blown up people's asses, an argument is made for injecting truth serum before the live show starts.
By a vote of 8 to 2, Alison is evicted. Ow! Diane and Nakomis, you are soooo out of the loop!
During the goodbyes, Howie tries to kiss Dr. Will. Ain't gonna happen unless you wear a Dr. Will mask, Howie.
Nothing really special happens in Julie's interview with Alison, but a couple of the goodbye videos are worth noting. Erika is in tears throughout hers. I guess this is therapy for her. Nakomis seems pissed at Alison and says she wouldn't be there if only she kept her mouth shut. True, but ouch anyway.
The commercial break didn't seem that long, but the HoH competition is based on questions asked of Alison during the break. It's really twisted and bizarre, but I've actually started liking Alison and am happy to see her participate, even if she's outside of the house. The House Guests have to guess if the answers they are given are true or false.
Question 1 - Alison believes Howie is smarter than Will.
Everyone guessed false, everyone stays in the game.
Question 2 - Alison believes the All-Star most likely to wear a peanut butter bikini is Kaysar.
Everyone guessed false, everyone stays in the game. Nobody says anything about Howie's peanut butter Speedo.
Question 3 - When going into the All-Star house, Alison thought her toughest competition was Erika.
Everyone guessed false except for Kaysar and Nakomis, to the surprise of everyone the answer is true and nine people find themselves having to sit down in one of the biggest mass losses ever seen in a Big Brother competition, if not the biggest.
Question 4 - The person Alison believes will gain the most weight in the house this summer is Janelle.
Both guessed true, both stay in the game.
Question 5 - Alison believes the All-Star most likely to seek revenge by using someone's toothbrush to clean the toilet is Will.
The answer was false, Kaysar is the new Head of Household.
Janelle and especially Howie erupt in celebration. Seriously, Howie is all over the place. Imagine if they had an alliance, huh? That target on their backs just got supersized.
***
Kaysar is now Head of Household, which means he gets to select two people to put up for eviction. Thanks to the new random method of selecting who gets to play for the Veto, backdooring anyone is out of the question so he might as well place who should go on the block right away. But who?
There are four obvious choices, done in two pairs. He could put up Diane and Nakomis, the only two people who voted in favour of Alison, but that would be so shortsighted as to be a little stupid. By voting for Alison, they just demonstrated how out of the loop they are. Any alliances they had just left them to flounder. The BB6ers need to add a couple more people to help ensure their safety, so why not go for Nakomis and Diane? Guarantee to keep them involved in the flow of information, keep them safe in exchange for the same guarantee, and you'll have a much stronger alliance. If Kaysar nominates them, he'll show the same lack of foresight and clear thought he demonstrated when he went after James instead of Maggie last year.
Dr. Will and Boogie would make a better pair, because Will is the most dangerous player in that house this year. People seem to be falling for everything he says all over again.
So Will should be nominated, but not with Boogie.
Janelle was one of the first Heads of Household, and she also won the Veto. Kaysar just won the second HoH. This alone makes the SeaSick Alliance the biggest target in the game. The celebration in the yard just dispelled any doubts about there being an alliance. But what if those doubts could be brought back? How? By nominating Howie.
I know the Howie fans won't like that idea, but it does make sense.
Even if people still believe there is a Season Six alliance, it'll look much smaller if Howie is on the block. The House Guests will then be torn who to vote for.
Dr. Will is the more dangerous player, but is Howie just a pawn? The SeaSickers win if Will is evicted, and if they lose Howie, well, he's just a liability anyway. That victory celebration confirmed it, but there have been other things too. According to the live feeds grapevine, he's looking for a new Busto. This is a different season, and if he lets loose like that on anyone in there now it'll cost them dearly. Besides, if Kaysar takes my advice he'll have Nakomis and Diane on his side and the alliance will still be five strong.
If he makes that move, he'll be one of my favourite Big Brother players ever. Sadly he plays too much of an emotional game and it's going to end up costing him big.
